4G network launched in Minsk

A 4G network was launched on 17 December in Minsk. It is the fourth generation of mobile communications. It has replaced 3G. According to BELTA, the launch of this network is the result of the successful implementation of the investment project and effective cooperation between the state and private business.

The construction of the new network, which will allow mobile phone companies to provide their customers with additional services at high speeds cost the operator $30 million. It was created using the LTE Advanced technology. In Minsk, the stable connection is provided by 150 new base stations of the network. In the future, it will be expanded by connecting new stations in large cities, including in settlements with 50 thousand inhabitants, sputnik.by reports.
