Reports: 130 carriages with Ukrainian goods detained at Belarusian border

Almost 130 carriages with Ukrainian goods have been detained at the Belarusian border. The transit consignment was heading for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, RIA Novosti reports. 55 carriages and 50 delivery trucks were forbidden to enter Russia earlier.

Russia forbade transit from Ukraine to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for the purpose of economic security and defense of national interests on July 1. Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn urged Russia to lift the restrictions and asked Kiev to take time before introducing retaliatory measures. Ukraine is considering alternative routes now – through Georgia and Azerbaijan.
