Belarus to introduce punishment for Nazi tattoos

For application or public display of tattoos depicting Nazi symbols, violators will face a fine of up to 30 basic units or administrative arrest.

Relevant amendments to the Administrative Code have been proposed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The MIA offers a new version of Article 17.10 which provides for an increase in the fine (up to 20 basic units for individuals, up to 70 basic units for individual entrepreneurs, up to 70 basic units for legal entities), as well as introduction of sanctions for repeat offenses.

According to the Interior Ministry, “salute of the National Socialists, passwords with encrypted names of Hitler, various runes, Celtic symbols, the “spinning wheel” will also have people drawn to responsibility.

According to the “SB. Belarus Today”, this initiative of the Ministry of Interior is unique.
