A document has been discovered in Belarus, pointing to the Belarusian geographical roots of US President-elect Donald Trump's relatives, according to Uladzimir Adamushka, director of Archives Department at the Ministry of Justice of Belarus. Talking on a TV show on November 24, he said the relatives of Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, Jews, lived in Navahrudak. According to the uncovered document, the Kushner family's presence in what is today known as Belarus can be traced back to the early 19th century. They were tailors.

Kushner's grandfather was a headwear tailor. During the occupation of Belarus by Nazis during WW2, he was in Belski's Jewish guerillas unit. According to Adamushka, Belarusian archive workers found a document which says that Zeidel Kushner on May 1, 1943 received a commendation from the unit commander. After WW2, he moved to the West.
