Brest resident Iryna Laurouskaya took a jitney and noticed a ribbon of Saint George on the windscreen. The woman asked the driver to remove the symbol but he rudely refused, the TV channel Belsat reports.

Laurouskaya complained to the director of the communal transport enterprise Brestgortrans. Brestgortrans and officials apologized to her. An official meeting was organized to explain the inadmissibility of placing religious symbols and various flags in public transport to drivers, the officials told Laurouskaya.

The road rules forbid placing objects and stickers that may narrow the driver’s view in cars (article 194). An administrative case may be started against such drivers.
