Belovezhskaya Pushcha to launch tractor safari for tourists
Visitors to Belovezhskaya Pushcha national park will soon be offered an unusual ecotour – around the primeval forest on a tractor.

You might have been on a wildlife safari but you have surely not been on the one like this!

The route will run along the southern border of the park where forest alternates with open spaces – meadows, marshes and flood plains. So tourists will be able to see wild animals in their natural habitat.

Visitors will be able to photograph the herds of the red deer, roe deer or European fallow deer, and probably even take selfies with animals in the background, the park’s administration said.

Another attraction of the tour is the transport. The excursion will move a 16-seat carriage pulled by a mini tractor Belarus. It is small but with high capacity!

The tour lasts for 2-2.5 hours. Tourists will be accompanied by a tour guide.

“It is natural that people come to Belovezhskaya Pushcha for nature. Seeing animals in open enclosures and the wildlife museum is not enough for many. Therefore, we will offer our guests to go to a safari and see wild animals roaming freely,” the head of the tourist department of Belovezhskaya Pushcha noted.

The tour will become available in the nearest future. At the beginning safaries will be organized by booking but in future the park plans to make it a regular tour.

Over 124,000 people visited Belovezhskaya Pushcha national park since the beginning of this year. By the way, the park was the first place in Belarus to become a visa-free zone in 2015. Foreign tourists are allowed to stay up to three days on the territory of the park.
