Belarus delegation to skip reburial of uprising 1863 heroes in Vilnius

The remains of people who took part in the 1863 Uprising will be reburied at the Rosa cemetery in Vilnius, Radio Liberty reports quoting the decision of a Lithuanian governmental commission.[i][/i]
The religious ceremony, to be held in July or August 2019, will be attended by Polish representativest. It is a very important event for Poland, Lithuanian vice chancellor Deividas Matulionis said.
Belarus could also particiapte in the ceremony but offcial Misnk is yet to epxress interest in the discovered remains.
21 leaders and participants of the Uprising were executed in Lukiškės Square in 1863-1864. The remains of 17 of them were recently found near Castle Mountain. Researchers identified 13 of them. Experts are confident they have found the remains of Zygmunt Sierakowski – one of the closest Konstanty Kalinowski’s companions-in-arms.
Kalinowski’s remains have not been identified yet. “There is a real candiadte but we cannot be 100% sure that it is Konstanty Kalinowski,” prorector of Vilius University Rimantas Jankauskas said.
