Monument to Gediminas to be installed in Lida (photo)

The Republican Expert Art Council of the Ministry of Culture has approved the draft of the monument to Grand Duke Gediminas (1275-1341) that will be installed in Lida. It was made by sculptors Syarhei Ahanau and Volha Nyachai. The sculptors met with the district administration in Lida last week. They discussed ‘the idea and art concept of the monument and practical issues’, kimpress.by reports.

Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas built the castle that has preserved in Lida until now. The bronze monument will be installed near the castle.
