Belarusian Orthodox Church opens Belarusian language courses in Moscow

You can now study the Belarusian language at the Orthodox Church of Great Martyr Irina, in Moscow, which houses the office of the Belarusian Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Adults and children from 14 years old can attend classes, reports Church.by.

The program includes general information about Belarus, information about the alphabet, phonetics and grammar of the Belarusian language, linguistic analysis of the Bible, studies of the Belarusian literature.



Classes will be held every Sunday from 12.30 to 14.30. Oleg Zhdanov, a graduate of Svyato-Tikhonovsky Humanitarian University, will teach the course.

The church is located near the subway station “Baumanskaya” at 38 Friedrich Engels Street.
