The court of the Tsentralny district of Minsk has arrested 24-year-old Alexandra Sitnikova for 10 days. She is a multiple Muay Thai and K1 champion of Belarus, a three-time bronze medalist of the European Muay Thai championships.

The athlete was found guilty of participating in an unauthorized mass event (part 1 of article 23.34 of the Administrative Code). Recall that she was detained on 13 October and sent to the Tsentralny District Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk.

“I’m incredibly proud of our people! They are wise, strong and incredibly kind, there is so much mutual aid, and all are so cultured. And all this inspite of the terrible brutality of the government! Long live Belarus!” Alexander Sitnikova earlier wrote on Instagram.

Note that the head of the Kickboxing and Thai Boxing Federation of Belarus is Internal Affairs Minister Yuri Karayev.

In addition, on 13 October, multiple Muay Thai world champion, famous coach Yuri Bulat was sentenced to 15 days. The Belarusian Sports Solidarity Foundation reports that Yuri is currently at a pre-trial detention center on Okrestsin Street.
