One and a half kilogram of cocaine was found by Belarusian border guards inside a Moscow-bound passenger train that had just crossed the Belarusian border from Poland late on March 15.

As Alyaksandr Tsishchanka, spokesman for the State Border Committee, told BelaPAN, the cocaine shipment was discovered in a cache inside an empty compartment in a car heading from Switzerland's Basle during a check in Brest.

Two train attendants, both Russian nationals, were apprehended over the find. They offered a bribe to the border guards to avoid arrest, according to Mr. Tsishchanka.
