Presidium of the political Council of the United Democratic Forces (UDF) does not see the grounds and reasons to cancel a procedure to nominate a common presidential candidate from democratic forces. This is the main result of the last meeting of the Presidium, which took place in Lithuania.
"We had chosen the most difficult, but at the same time, the most legitimate way to nominate a person who would oppose to the regime in the presidential elections. The candidate must be determined by a great number of people. If tens of thousands of people participated in this process, it would be a small, but notable victory", - co-chairman of the UDF Anatoly Lebedko said.
