The trial of member of the United Civil Party Vladimir Malyarchuk, a member of the Belarusian Popular Front Party Alexei Sudak and activist Ales Narkevich took place today in Vileika.
The activists were charged with holding an unsanctioned rally during the establishment of a memorial cross on the site of execution of Rostislav Lapitski, head of the anti-Soviet organization. The crosses were established near Vileika in the village of Krasny Berezhok.
Democratic activists insist that all charges are proofless because during the establishment of the cross they did deliver a speech.
