Belarusian fan Igor Schekarevich appealed to the Polish Prosecutor's Office in connection with the ban on the white-red-white flag at sporting events in Poland.
The Belarusian suggests that the Prosecutor's Office won't recognize its mistake and won't consider the appeal positively.
"However, I'm ready to go through all possible instances including the judicial ones to defend the right of Belarusians in Poland to be fans under their national flags", quoted Igor Schekarevich the press service of the Center "Collaboration without borders".
We remind, the Polish Prosecutor's Office acknowledged as inappropriate the use of the Belarusian national flag at sporting events in Poland. This follows from the answer to the statement of a crime against a group of Belarusian fans at a basketball game.
The incident occurred on June 25, 2011 at the match Belarus-Lithuania of the European Women Basketball Championship in the Polish Bydgoszcz. The stadium's security, where the game was held at first prevented a group of Belarusian fans to unfold white-red-white flags and then removed Belarusians from the stadium by force.
