Former Director of Minsk Retail Market to Stand Trial on Bribery Charge

A former director of the Minsk Retail Market is to stand trial in the Belarusian capital city on a bribery charge, said the press center of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The person is accused of accepting a $8,100 bribe from a private unitary enterprise in exchange for approving a work completion certificate submitted by the firm and ordering that the Market pays the enterprise under the certificate.

He is facing the charge under Part Two of the Criminal Code's Article 430.
The Frunzenski district prosecutor's office instituted the criminal proceedings on December 3, 2009.
