Biathlon star Darya Domrachva wins world title

Darya Domracheva of Belarus ended the 2013 Biathlon World Championships on a high note, grabbing the gold in the womens mass start in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

The 26-year-old star, who had not had a top 10 finish in the tournament before the final race, came first in 35 minutes, 54.4 seconds, 8.7 seconds ahead of Norways Tora Berger.

Another Belarusian, Nadzeya Skardzina, was 27th.

Ms. Domrachvas gold became Belarus only medal at the championships.

This was Domrachva's second world title, adding to her pursuit title from last year's event in Ruhpolding.
