Pinskdrev ready for strike

Workers of Pinskdrev wood processing plant plan to stop machines on August 30.

The Council of Workers calls to carry out the so called Italian strike on August 30, the website Media-Polesye reports.

Leaflets were distributed in Pinsk and among workers of the plant.

"We don't want to go to Russia and other countries to work for surviving. Our homes and families are in Pinsk. We say: Enough! Stop the machine, make your wage higher!" organisers say.

Organisers call on workers to stop machines under pretext of carrying out a safety check.

The plant was reported in June to reduce working week to four days and force workers to take mandatory leaves.
