Ivan Hubar, who was beaten by security guards of Volgograd supermarket, died on August 8.

Charter97.org learnt it from his sister Katsiaryna Hubar.

"He died on Thursday August 8. We buried him on Saturday August 10. We don't know any details yet. It's not yet clear," the sister of Ivan Hubar (on the left in the picture) says.

The conflict between a Minsk resident and security guards of Volgograd supermarket took place at about 18:00 on June 30. The young man was brutally beaten on the steps of the supermarket. A reason of the incident is unknown. Passers-by called an ambulance. He was connected to a ventilator at hospital. His sister says Ivan was in a coma until his death.

The security guard was charged with violating article 155 of the Criminal Code (causing grievous or less grievous bodily harm by negligence). If found guilty, he may face from 2 to 7 years in prison. Ivan Hubar's relatives say the case was sent to the Investigation Committee.

Ivan Hubar left behind a wife and a 7-month-old daughter.

A similar incident took place in Minsk's hypermarket Korona on May 9. Security guards beat Minsk resident Aliaksandr Vashkevich. He had a concussion, bruises on the face and a fracture of the spinous process of the sixth cervical vertebrae.

A similar situation happens in Homel some days ago. Security guards of Euroopt store beat two customers – a man and a woman – until they bled.
