Wargaming.net releases new online game

Belarusian video game developer Wargaming.net has announced the release of its new free-to-play massively multiplayer online game World of Warplanes.

As the company's spokesperson told BelaPAN, more than 4.5 million gamers took part in the game's testing in the months leading up to the release.

"The release of World of Warplanes is a very important event for our company," said Wargaming.net CEO Viktar Kisly. "We try to create not just a good game but the best online game involving planes, that's why we will continue to delight players with a new content and gameplay modes."

World of Warplanes features over 100 aircraft from Germany, the Soviet Union, USA, Japan, and Great Britain, allowing players to choose from three main warplane classes - fighters, heavy fighters, and ground-attack planes.

Founded in 1998, Wargaming.net is an award-winning online game developer and publisher and one of the leaders in the free-to-play MMO market. It employs some 1,600 people across regions such as North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
