Five out of the 65 candidates of the Belarusian Party of the Left "Fair World" on 79 districts became deputies of local councils.
This was reported by the party’s deputy chairman Valery Ukhnaliou. In Brest region, Alexander Halkevich became a deputy of Baranavichy City Council and Uladzimir Darapey became a member of Brest Regional Council. In Minsk region, Iosiph Matiyun became a deputy of Vilejka District Council, and Natalia Rykhard was elected deputy of Svislach village council of Pukhavichi district. Natalia Saldatava became the deputy of Hlybokaye village council of Rechytsa district of Gomel region.
According to Valery Ukhnaliou, "it was impossible not to elect those people". "They are well-known among local residents, they are actively working with people, and it was impossible to do anything to falsify the election results", said the politician.
